MDWg’s Vision and Values Refresh
MDWg’s Vision and Values Refresh
Earlier this year, the MDWg team began work on updating the organisation’s vision and values. We wanted these to reflect the current direction, purpose and goals of Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring. With the help of a number of secondees from the Jawun program, we have created a vision and values that we are proud to share.
To develop a refreshed vision and values, we spoke to the entire team, as well as external stakeholders. We asked people why they worked at MDWg, and why they thought their work was important. We also asked them what they hoped to see from MDWg in the future. Some really fantastic things came out of these talks, reflected by the wonderful quotes displayed throughout the final document.
“MDWg has an incredible story to tell and it was a privilege to play a part in sharing their story with the wider community. While it was impossible to capture all the amazing work of the Centre, I think their new vision and values perfectly sums up what they do and the spirit in which they do it.”
-Jane Humphries, Jawun Secondee
We were lucky enough to use the skills of a graphic designer to make all the information collected over months look so impressive.
As a corporate graphic designer, I was given the daunting task of graphically articulating the MDWg’s vision and values, programs, initiatives, along with the passion and commitment of the staff, in an A3 impact infographic. I hope this graphic at least partially conveys the heart, soul and passion of MDWg and it’s dedicated staff.

MDWg’s Impact Infographic
We would like to thank everyone who was involved in this important project. Without significant input from our staff, people who interact with MDWg and incredible secondees from Jawun, we would not have this beautifully articulated summary of our work and our impact.
We think the final product speaks for itself, so take a look at the full sized version here.
