Miriwoong Language Education Facilitator (LEF)

MDWg is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the role of Language
Education Facilitator (LEF – Early Years)
who will work hand in hand with the current Older
Years counterpart. The LEF leads a team of Miriwoong employees in delivering our Miriwoong
language education program in collaboration with local partners, including early learning
centres and schools.


Her/his responsibilities include supervision, planning, and preparation of Miriwoong language
lessons, training and engagement of Indigenous staff, as well as the development of
curriculum resources and administrative tasks.


Prerequisites are the acquisition of a Working with Children Card and National Police
Clearance, a valid Australian driver’s licence, native speaker fluency in English, Australian
citizenship or permanent residency with full work rights, and a firm commitment for at least
2 years of employment in this position.

The expected start date is on 20 January 2025 or soon thereafter.
This is a full-time Level 4 position (SACS-WA), subject to qualification and experience, based
in Kununurra (Western Australia). We are prepared to discuss a Level 5 appointment with a
highly qualified and experienced candidate.
