MDWg’s Vision and Values Refresh Earlier this year, the MDWg team began work on updating the organisation’s vision and values. We wanted these to reflect the current direction, purpose and goals of Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring. With the help of a number of secondees from the Jawun program, we have created a vision and values that we are proud to share.

Garijang, Jobeth! Well Done! Jobeth Winton, member of MDWg’s Miriwoong Language Nest team was announced Younger Leader of the Year at the 2018 Third Sector Awards. This is a huge achievement, and we are all so proud of her for winning this well-deserved award.

Ninggoowoong Woorrnging: The Miriwoong Family Song On June 9, a cohort of Year 3 students performed a Miriwoong song at the Kununurra District High School’s whole school assembly. This is the first time in recent memory that a song in an Indigenous language has been performed at the school.
