Miriwoong is a critically endangered language. If it’s lost, then so is connection, community and culture.

When people are able to speak their traditional language, they are healthier, happier, more confident, more engaged in school and work, and less likely to experience challenges with drugs or alcohol. Our programs help make this possible. They build community capacity, strengthen language and culture, and they promote positive intercultural understanding for everyone.

However, delivering these outcomes is expensive, and high costs remain one of our biggest barriers.
